For a Firefly

The material isn't what we think it is but by believing it to be, it is.
Belief is to mind as DNA is to body.
Who Am I is the call and That I Am is response—
call this Self-awareness.

Space, time, and volition are the three dimensions of this daydream.
If universe is cause, and universe, result,
then universe is conceptual—
crow caws the causelessness of crow again.

It's almost summer solstice and I'm waiting for the fireflies.
They're always the last flower of the spring—
sometimes they don't bloom until July.
